Beneath the Painted Sky

By News

Here we have a lovely little soft ballad with a very strong connection of how life can easily turn around during the course of a person’s life.

Originally composed by the great Tammy Wynette, and now here we have a new rendition by Declan Nerney, this song tells the story of a little girl who became so attached to her parental guidance that alleviated all her fears and woes, but as we all know through the course of all our lives there are always various twists and turns.

Head of Women’s Aid Fundraising, Christina Sherlock said:
“Women’s Aid is delighted that this song ‘Beneath the Painted Sky’ has been dedicated to raising awareness of domestic violence, and to fundraising for the services we provide. Women’s Aid is a national organisation working to prevent and address the impact of domestic violence and abuse in Ireland. We provide high-quality, specialised support services for women and children subjected to domestic abuse, and we are very grateful to Declan and everyone involved in this project for choosing to fundraise for Women’s Aid.”

On listening to Declan’s recording of this ballad, he makes an instant connection to the sentiment and his voice captures the sensitivity of the lyrics of the ballad.

All profits from this recording is in support of Women’s Aid. Please download load it from iTunes as it’s for a worthy cause.
